Frequently asked questions
Do I need a formal diagnosis to work with you?
Not at all. Self-diagnosis is completely valid. Or, you may be awaiting assessment or exploring the idea of a diagnosis- there are lots of benefits to working with me during these stages.

Can we meet in person?
If you live locally (North Leeds,) and would prefer to meet in person for a 'coffee and a chat' or a 'walk and talk', then this may be an option. Please get in touch to discuss.

How many sessions do people normally have?
That is completely up to you and it will be different for everyone. I would recommend a minimum of 6 sessions.

Do you work with children?
Yes, I do. I work with children and young people. I have almost 20 years experience as a teacher and have taught many neurodivergent children over the years. I hold an Enhanced DBS. I am also Mum to two neurodivergent children so have lots of experience with neurodivergent children on a personal level as well. Please click here for more information.

Are the sessions confidential?
Yes, everything that we talk about is completely confidential. I will ask for an emergency contact when signing up for the sessions for safeguarding purposes, in case I feel that you are in danger, or are endangering someone else. I may anonymously take topics to other trusted colleagues for supervision or guidance- to seek advice about how to best help you.
